Shelterguard™ Tree Shelters

Shelterguard™ is the ultimate tree guard for young trees that require browsing protection from animals (muntjac, rabbits and deer) as well as shelter from the harsh environment. Shelterguard™ is a plastic mesh tree guard that has a tinted polythene film lining that produces a micro-climate in the tree shelter. This limits wind damage and allows for more stable temperatures, both increasing strong growth rates.

The tree shelter is manufactured from 100% recycled plastic and is designed to degrade in a two stage process, with the polythene film breaking down first. This is designed to occur once the tree is sufficiently strong enough to survive in the resultant plastic mesh tree guard. The plastic mesh will degrade after about 5-7 years. Shelterguard™ is a unique product manufacted by Acorn Planting Products, and is available in heights ranging from 600mm up to 1.8m in pre-formed nested tubes.
