Acorn Planting Products have pioneered the development of oxo-biodegradable plastic mesh tree shelters

Acorn can manufacture oxo-degradable biodegradable tree shelters (Shelterguard®) and plastic mesh tree guards (Treeguard) from recycled polymers. The benefit of using oxo-degradable tree shelters is that at the end of their natural life the plastic mesh tree shelter / tree guard will biodegrade and disappear, regardless of whether they are exposed to sunlight or not.

The use of Acorns oxo-degradable bio tree shelters gives peace of mind with the knowledge that, over time and with a small increase in initial establishment costs, the tree shelters / plastic mesh treeguards will disappear, leaving a well established woodland and no litter.
